John Allen Madden, Jr.
About
John Madden, Jr. is a Shalimar native and trial attorney who represents individuals and families injured due to someone else’s negligence. Before entering private practice, John spent five years as an Assistant State Attorney in Florida’s First Judicial Circuit, handling thousands of cases across Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, and Bay Counties. He tried more than 20 jury trials to verdict—including serious felony cases—and first-chaired each of those trials, while also second-chairing dozens more. This level of courtroom experience is critical in personal injury cases, where insurance companies closely evaluate whether an attorney is truly prepared to take a case to trial.
After leaving prosecution to work more directly with his community, John now uses that experience to stand up to insurance companies that undervalue legitimate claims. Born and raised in Shalimar, and having raised his family in Okaloosa County, John has deep roots in the community and understands the impact an injury can have on every aspect of a person’s life. He combines that local perspective with real trial experience to advocate for his clients at every stage of the case.
John prepares every case as if it will go to trial. While many cases resolve before reaching the courtroom, his willingness and ability to take a case the distance puts his clients in a stronger position from the start. At the same time, he remains focused on achieving the best possible outcome—whether through settlement or verdict—based on what serves the client’s interests. John earned both his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and his Juris Doctor from Florida State University. John and his wife, Kialea, are raising their three children in Shalimar.
